What's on tap at Paladin in January
Greetings and happy 2017 Heroic Beer Drinkers!
Paladin had a really exciting 2016 full of events, bands, and delicious beverages and met some amazing people here in our brewery. We stretched out beyond our doors and now have distribution in Mahoning, Trumbull, Ashtabula, Columbiana, and Franklin Counties in Ohio as well as Mercer, Venango, Crawford, Clarion, and Lawrence Counties in Pennsylvania. Ask for our beer at any bar or restaurant in these counties, if they do not have it ask them if they will start carrying it for you. There are now 16 beers on tap in our tavern, all of which we made right here in Austintown. We experimented with our first seasonal, Paladin Pumpkin Ale, which sold out in one day. Mr. Beer released a Sir Kenneth recipe, allowing home brewers worldwide to copy our most popular beer at home. Paladin also hosted a number of private events in our tavern. (Call Abby at 330-272-1494 if you'd like to schedule one). Here's a start of what our team has planned for 2017.
Distribution in Columbus
Let's start off with some really exciting news! Paladin is headed to Columbus (Franklin County) for immediate distribution in 2017 thanks to Ohio Beer Co.! We've included a photo of the first shipment that went to Columbus right at the end of December.
On Saturday, January 21 we are holding a fundraiser in honor of Ken Erdner, Abby's Grandfather and the namesake of our Sir Kenneth beer, who passed last year. This event is being held on what would be his 92nd birthday. $1 per glass of Sir Kenneth sold plus proceeds from raffle baskets will go to Senior Independence, the Hospice group that helped to take care of him during his last 2 years with us. It will last the entire time we are open (2 pm to 10 pm), and we will raffle off the baskets at the end of the night. You will not need to be present to win. If you would like to donate a basket, we will accept them right up until January 20. Just drop them off at the brewery at your convenience. Click here for the Facebook event page.
