What's on tap at Paladin in November
Posted on Nov 01, 2016
Thanksgiving is upon us, and by our bartenders' request we will be open our normal hours that weekend, including Thanksgiving itself! They are looking forward to meeting your out of town guests!
Tasting at Quaker Steak and Lube Boardman
On Wednesday, November 16 stop by The Lube in Boardman at 435 Boardman Poland Rd. from 6-9pm, where we will be taking part in a Beer Tasting with 6 other great local breweries! Tickets are $12 pre-sale and $15 at the door and are limited to 40 guests. Each ticket includes two 3 oz. samples from each brewery, snacks and dips bar, and 10% off your food purchase for the evening. Get in touch with The Lube at 330-726-5823 to reserve your spot.
Paladin’s first seasonal was a Pumpkin Ale, which we released in a very limited quantity back on October 7. You must have liked it because it was gone in one day!
We released our Russian Imperial Stout named Imperial Knight on October 28. This makes 15 brews on tap for us! Imperial Knight is a Russian Imperial Stout which uses a magnificent amount of hops to balance out the deep, dark, and roasty malt bill. Clocking in at 9% abv this beer is much like an Imperial Soldier: big, strong, and complex. Good to the last drop with a smooth and mellow finish.
Still to be released...
Paladin Bourbon Porter
31 ibu, 6.9% abv, Release date TBA
Snifter $7 - 10oz Pour In A 13oz Glass
Growler $22 • Refill $18 • Crowler $12 • Sample $2
We infused a rich and malty Baltic Porter with bourbon-soaked oak to get a complex and satisfying flavor with a very smooth mouthfeel and a nice cream tan head. Each sip is complimented by an intense aroma of toasted oak and the sweet graininess of good bourbon followed by a melding of the bittersweet roastiness creating a very characterful beer.
Falcon Animal Rescue
On Saturday, December 3rd, Falcon Animal Rescue will be holding a fundraiser here from 6 to 10 pm. Tickets are $15 and include pizza and beer taste. A Chinese auction and 50/50 raffle will also be held. Tickets can be purchased at the door on the day of the event or at Falcon Animal Rescue (They are in the front of our building).
Last Call 5k
The fine folks at Vertical Runner of McDonald are holding a 5k run that starts and ends here at Paladin on December 31, entitled "Last Call". Runners will start here and head west on the sidewalk, turn north, then blaze their way down the bike trail. There is a quick turn around at the half-way point, then head on back - high fiv’n your running friends back to the finish. Afterward, we’ll head into the brewery for awards and enjoy our homegrown brews. What a way to send out the old and ring in the new! Click here to register for the race.
