This weekend October 9-10, 2015 we will release a new beer named "CraveMore". The new beer is a strong Scottish ale, dark ruby in color, with a complex finish, and hints of smoke and peat, paired with a malty richness from caramel, and roasted malts. As this particular beer is perfectly paired with rich flavored smoked meats, Paladin has invited Yolo to serve smoked steak and garlic chicken in the tasting tavern on Friday October 9, and Saturday October 10.
This Friday, we'll be releasing our first new beer since the grand opening. Named Champion's Breakfast (abv 4.7% ibu 29), it is a sweet lower alcohol stout, combining attributes from both an oatmeal stout and a sweet stout this beer is silky and smooth with hints of coffee and chocolate-like flavor from specialty malts. To join in the celebration, C's Waffles will be here on Friday 9/18 serving breakfast.
My dream of opening a craft brewery here in Youngstown has been a long time in the making, and we're thrilled to be able to share the fruits of our labor with the community. The day is finally here. Good afternoon Paladin fans and friends. For those of you that may not yet be aware, John Chandler, Paladin's owner, was diagnosed with a very aggressive cancerous tumor in the sinus cavity above his right eye on June 26. Since then, we have been blessed to have expedient consultations at the Cleveland Clinic and are thankful to have a world-class hospital so close to home.
Paladin Brewing is a locally owned family-based business starting from the ground up with help from many family members and friends who are all very supportive. When we finally open I hope that our customer base will become part of our family. Family isn't just about blood or common interests. It's about people who are supportive and in a time of need caring and willing to do anything asked. Today I'm reaching out to you and am asking for your help. At long last, all of the equipment has arrived, and we are working hard to get everything installed so we can start brewing outstanding beer for you. We've made great headway on getting the tasting tavern ready, and we think you'll enjoy the medieval theme we've created inside. We will also have an outdoor area where you can sit and enjoy a cold beverage with a friend during the summer. Currently, we are looking forward to opening in mid-to-late July.
