Named for the one who keeps going

A paladin is a knight who holds the line. John Chandler was diagnosed with sinus cancer just before Paladin opened in 2015, and with his family, his friends and half the Valley behind him he opened the doors anyway and beat it.

He and Abby have run it together ever since. The Cancer Sucks! ESB in the lineup is not a marketing line - it is the beer that ties back to that year.

That is what a paladin does. Forge forward, conquer the enemy.

The things people ask us

Do I need to be 21 to come in?

No. Paladin is a family-friendly tavern - kids are welcome with a parent or guardian, and daytime hours are the easiest time to bring the whole family. You do need to be 21 to drink.

Is there food, or just beer?

There is a full kitchen. The Paladin Kitchen opened in 2021 and the flatbread pizzas and nachos are the two top sellers, alongside pretzels, onion rings, quesadillas, salads and an artisan meat and cheese plate.

Can I take beer home?

Yes. Most of what is on tap is available to go in 4-packs and 6-packs of cans, plus growler and crowler fills at the bar.

Are you open on Mondays?

No, the tavern is closed Monday and Tuesday. We are open Wednesday through Friday 3pm - 10pm, Saturday 2pm - 10pm and Sunday 1pm - 6pm.
